Project Manager
Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is a community-focused institution dedicated to equitable medical education and healthcare. Responsibilities
Collaborate with CDU administrative offices and units to ensure goals and objectives are completed
Utilize project management methodologies to monitor project deliverables
Develop contracts, MOUs, compile data, and create project management dashboards and reports
Support program evaluation, including identifying, developing, and administering surveys
Manage project budgets and utilize the Fraxion system for purchases, including supplies and vendor services
Schedule virtual and in-person meetings, maintain Outlook calendar invites with Zoom/Teams meeting links
Host virtual meetings, manage presenters, prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and organize recordings
Secure room reservations for in-person meetings/events, manage onsite setup/breakdown, and coordinate with Facilities and the IT department
Manage tracking system for recruitment, communications, clinical partnerships, and affiliation agreements
Monitor inpatient and outpatient clinical sites for rotations and partnered activities for CDU academic programs
Maintain outreach and recruitment of clinical sites and practice sites for clinical training opportunities
Support internal relationships for learning health system development with CDU
Prepare weekly reports and dashboards with clinical affiliation agreement information, clinical rotation availability, and clinical education capacity for leadership and committee review
Communicate daily updates related to operational activities for students, fellows, and trainees
Primary point of contact for the College of Medicine (COM) office of Medical Education, Associate Provost for Clinical Affairs, and other CDU clinical training programs on clinical affiliate agreement compliance and coordination with scheduling students and rotation capacity
Liaison for university academic programs, including intra-CDU administrative functions within COM between the Clinical Partnerships office, GME clinical training office, Designated Institutional Official, Continuous Quality Improvement team, Learning Environment Oversight committee, Clinical Clerkship Sub-Committee, and the Education Policy and Curriculum Committee
Travel to clinical partners and program sites in Los Angeles County to enhance affiliation agreements and maintain communications
Attend conferences and training as required by the supervisor to maintain proficiency
Collaborate on special projects and initiatives across CDU departments as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, healthcare administration, or public health, or a related field is required
Two (2) to six (6) years of experience with clinical partnerships and medical affiliations, or health sciences academic programs, preferably in a medical or academic health setting
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel)
Knowledge of cultural competency and ability to work with a diverse community
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience working with community members, event participants, community organization leaders, University representatives, and health care provider partners
Project management skills and effective communication, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, and clinical partners
Knowledge of clinical affiliation agreement processes, terminology, and compliance requirements in academic medicine
Ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position
Ability to work effectively with a diverse community
