In this role, you'll prepare accurate estimates for new substation construction, rebuilds, and upgrades while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and vendors to ensure all costs are identified.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, specifications, and scopes for substation projects (4kV–500kV)

Perform material takeoffs for breakers, transformers, bus, grounding, steel, conduit, and cable

Develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates

Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for major equipment and services

Prepare bid packages, pricing sheets, clarifications, schedules, execution plans, and proposal content

Participate in internal bid reviews and work with project teams after award

Maintain pricing databases and support change order estimating
