Configuration Management Intern Engineer

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of configuration and data management policies, procedures, and tools
Support the identification, control, and tracking of configuration items (CIs) and related documentation
Help maintain accurate records of configuration changes, including version control and change history
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in configuration control board (CCB) meetings, documenting decisions and tracking action items
Perform data entry and updates in configuration and data management databases and tools
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of configuration management plans, reports, and audits
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of configuration and data management activities

Required

Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology
Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Basic understanding of configuration and data management principles and practices is a plus
Experience with configuration and data management tools and software (e.g., Git, EWM, Windchill, JIRA, Confluence) is desirable but not required
