Responsibilities

A Clinical Lab Scientist Intern (Trainee) is enrolled in Valley Children's Healthcare Clinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program
This one-year program provides training of the individual to become technically proficient in the performance of laboratory procedures
The trainee requires the ability to concentrate and learn the theories and principals of laboratory medicine, as well as the ability to apply those principles to laboratory specimens
Interns must demonstrate the physical dexterity required to utilize the various instruments and equipment required to perform laboratory procedures
Upon completion of the program, the trainee is an eligible candidate for the California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) licensing exam
