Accounting Manager

Apotheca is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join their developing Accounting Team. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, manage a team of accountants, and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management while ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting and financial reporting
Prepare and/or review journal entries for key accounts in the General Ledger
Prepare and/or review account reconciliations for key accounts in the General ledger
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and financial analysis to senior management and stakeholders
Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and optimize working capital to ensure the company's financial stability
Conduct regular financial reviews to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals to ensure high performance and professional development
Work with outside tax accountants to ensure accurate data given based on the business structure and tax filings

Required

Experience level: 4 years
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification is required
Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant in the retail industry
Extensive knowledge of financial principles and practices, including GAAP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Ability to Relocate: Cornelius, NC 28031: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Preferred

CPA certification or working towards CPA certification is highly preferred
Experience in the retail industry is preferred
