Responsibilities

Contribute to the kernel drivers used across macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS to provide support for a variety of storage technologies, such as NVMe, SCSI, AHCI, and SDXC
Support all stages of product development, including early system bringup and new feature development
Work closely with many teams, from silicon and hardware engineers up to framework and application developers to support system features including managing Apple Intelligence models

C/C++ programmingOperating SystemsKernel architectureMulti-threaded programmingStorage technologiesLow level bus protocolsSoftware debuggersBus protocol analyzers

Required

Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with multi-threaded programming
Experience with software debuggers (e.g. gdb, lldb) and tracing tools (e.g. dtrace)
Proficient in Operating Systems and kernel architecture
Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE (or equivalent, or related field)

Preferred

2+ years of relevant experience
Understanding of storage technologies and protocols (e.g. NVMe, SCSI, AHCI)
Familiarity with low level bus protocols such as PCIe, USB, and Fibre Channel
Experience using bus protocol analyzers
