Responsibilities
Managing the financial controls and reporting for BibliU Campus, this role reports into the VP Finance
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts
Identify financial trends and provide strategic insights
Prepare month-end accounts and VAT returns
Ensure accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage sales tax reporting
Compile and submit annual property tax returns
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls
Review and approve vendor payments, including commission payments
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards
Coordinate and manage external audit processes
Develop and implement internal financial policies
Maintain high standards of financial record-keeping
Manage and mentor the US based finance team
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Provide guidance and support to team members
Coordinate cross-departmental financial activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Excel, iPlicit, Xero/Quickbooks, Netsuite, Fathom and similar)
Strong understanding of financial principles and procedures
Excellent financial analysis and forecasting capabilities
Comprehensive knowledge of US financial regulations
Minimum 1 years post-qualification experience in financial management
Proven track record in financial reporting and accounting
Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strategic thinking and proactive approach to financial management
Willingness to work in a flexible way as the role requires
