Responsibilities

Help Apple engineers answer mission-critical questions about the stability and performance of hardware, firmware, and software that power devices worldwide
Develop automation to ensure reliability across thousands of compute and storage instances spanning our large, heterogeneous infrastructure
Dive deep into complex data and application issues
Conduct root cause analysis of large-scale problems
Partner with teammates across Apple to maintain the availability and integrity of our critical analytics applications

Qualification

Big Data technologiesDistributed systemsCloud servicesPythonCommunication

Required

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Familiarity with one or more cloud services environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
Experience working with big data technologies and/or applications
5+ years of production experience managing and supporting large scale distributed Big Data applications (from development to production)

Preferred

Experience with at least one of the following languages and related development tools: Python, Bash, Ruby, Java, Scala
Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Kubernetes, Flink, Kafka, Cloud Services
Passion for quality and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
