Responsibilities

Conceive, design, and bring into life products that will redefine the user experience
Contribute to all forms of interconnect technologies, including: designing highly customized high-speed and high-power interconnects, novel wireless interfaces, and developing complete charging accessories
Balance numerous program needs simultaneously
Drive the appropriate resolution for issues encountered
Respond quickly to changes in a highly dynamic and cross functional environment
Manage multiple design tradeoffs and find creative, dynamic solutions

Qualification

Mechanical engineering degree3D CAD softwareDesign for manufacturabilityStatistical tolerance analysisConnector designAnalytical skillsMandarin language skillsProblem solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent; BSME or higher
Analytical and problem solving skills as applied to mechanical engineering
Fluency in 3D CAD software
Ability to design cosmetic and structural plastic and metal components
Experience in design for manufacturability and design for assembly
Experience with statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing
Experience presenting and communicating technical concepts, ideas, and solutions graphically
The ability to travel internationally (20%+)

Preferred

Experience in detailed part and product design in consumer electronics
Experience with connector design, liquid and dust ingress protection, corrosion, and/or signal integrity
Experience with design for high-volume manufacturing
Mandarin language skills
