Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex tax returns, including:
Individual returns with K-1s, real estate, and investments
S corporations and partnerships
Multi-state returns
Serve as a technical buffer between staff and the Tax Manager
Translate review notes into clean, final workpapers
Research tax issues and summarize conclusions clearly
Communicate directly with clients on routine tax matters
Help improve workflows, templates, and documentation
Mentor junior and staff-level accountants as the team grows
Qualification
Required
4–7 years of public accounting tax experience
Strong experience with 1040s, 1120s, 1120S, and 1065s
Comfortable owning returns from start to finish
Able to spot issues and propose solutions, not just ask questions
Organized, detail-oriented, and process-minded
Preferred
CPA license preferred, or actively pursuing
