Responsibilities

Transforming requirements from early sketches into wireframes and prototypes to address user needs and project vision

Identifying ideas to move forward into detailed design and eventually production, based on usability testing, standard methodologies, including accessibility standards, and technical input

Collaborating with development and marketing teams to implement delightful, appropriate and consistent solutions for MathWorks Products

Required

Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's level degree in a technical discipline

Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction

Knowledge of user experience

Preferred

Have a design portfolio (for UX Designers)

Ability to grasp technical concepts and translate those to UI representations

Programming experience in any programming language (MATLAB, R, Python, C++, Java, JS, etc.)

STEM Major/Background (e.g. Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Information Design, Data Modeling, Computer Graphics, CAD Design, Architecture, Statistics, Cognitive Sciences, Psychology, or other relevant degree)
