Responsibilities
Build and maintain critical tools and services for legal, compliance and security requirements at Apple
Responsible for eDiscovery solutions for data collection, data preservation, legal holds, knowledge mining as well as law enforcement and privacy compliance tools
Develop key compliance and crisis management tools that protect Apple’s assets, people, and regulatory obligations as well as tools for intellectual property enforcement and fraud prevention
Own the full software engineering lifecycle for all of these solutions from software development and quality assurance to DevOps and sustained production support
Qualification
Required
7+ years in software development experience in Java with proficiency in Unix operating system, and proven experience in leading a team of engineers
Proven experience in both frontend (React or Angular JS or Vue or equivalent) and backend development
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining large-scale software systems
Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across cross-functional teams
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
Preferred
Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms and frameworks with experience in integrating AI/ML concepts into software design and implementation
Solid understanding of key software architecture principles including load-balancing, system observability, microservices, security, cryptography, performance and reliability
Knowledge of AI-powered Assistant tools and IDE integrations
Knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake is highly valued
Hands-on experience in writing components, frameworks and libraries that improve software efficiency and scalability
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and CI/CD tools
