Responsibilities
Own the company’s financial strategy, long-range planning, and forecasting
Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and growth initiatives
Provide clear, decision-useful financial insights across the organization
Serve as a key financial partner to the Board and investors
Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, close processes, and revenue recognition
Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and strong internal controls
Maintain audit readiness and oversee external audits, tax filings, and valuations
Partner closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure financial practices align with regulatory and governance requirements
Own annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and unit economics (including CAC, LTV, gross margin, and burn)
Maintain clear visibility into cash flow, runway, and financial risk
Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Support equity and debt fundraising efforts, including investor materials and diligence
Oversee cap table management, equity plans, and 409A valuations
Prepare Board and investor financial reporting packages
Ensure financial transparency and credibility with external stakeholders
Partner with Product, Medical, and Operations teams on pricing, cost structure, and margin optimization
Support vendor economics, contract review, and intercompany arrangements
Design scalable financial processes that support growth without unnecessary complexity
Build and manage a lean, high-performing finance team and external partners
Select, implement, and optimize financial systems and tools
Establish clear documentation, controls, and operating rhythms
Qualification
Required
8–12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
Senior leadership experience (Head of Finance, VP Finance, or similar), ideally in healthcare, digital health, life sciences, or regulated industries
Experience supporting venture-backed or growth-stage companies
Direct experience with fundraising, board reporting, and investor relations
Own the company's financial strategy, long-range planning, and forecasting
