Assistant Attorney General (Attorney II), General and Special Prosecution
The South Carolina Office of the Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for their General and Special Prosecution team. This role involves handling a variety of criminal cases across the state, working with law enforcement, and developing litigation skills.

Responsibilities
Assists in the beginning stages of a case being referred to and accepted by the office
Advances the case through the judicial system in an appropriate manner
Seeks a just resolution in all cases
Handles their caseload and provides relevant information for reporting
Handles miscellaneous matters assigned, including attending and conducting training
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate Degree
Must be a member and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar
Must satisfy Rule 403 requirements
Position may require travel overnight
Position may require travel and transporting files
DRUG SCREENING, CREDIT CHECKS, DELINQUENT TAX CHECKS, AND SLED BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED
Preferred
Must be organized and able to work independently to meet deadlines
Requires excellent written and oral advocacy skills
Must have criminal court experience
