Responsibilities
Craft language our models can both use and learn from
Be an active participant in the design process
Recognize a bad user experience and create a great one
Work with model designers to ensure every element of the experience works together
Work with engineers to deliver on challenging details while thinking through feedback
Question assumptions and articulate your point of view
Contribute to broader discussions about style and voice across Apple
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years experience as a writer
A broad knowledge of Apple domains, platforms, and approaches
A deep interest in iterative content design, experimentation, and prototyping
An ability to understand how the nuances of technical stacks and architecture influence writing and design
A willingness to see writing as a team sport
Preferred
Ability to translate ambiguous, technical topics into human language anyone can understand
Mastery of both high-level, idea-driven thinking as well as a focus on the details
Ability to design a customer experience online, offline, or in an app
Experience with turn-based, conversational design
Deep curiosity about technology, data, and the philosophical questions they create
Intuition for the craft of design and an appetite for the technical complexity necessary to create something simple
