Responsibilities
Provide scientific and management oversight to the Adolescent Program Evaluation and Data (APED) Unit
Support the design and implementation of MCAH program evaluation efforts related to local health jurisdictions (LHJs), Title V MCH Block Grant reporting, needs assessments, and various MCAH programs
Use tools and methods in the areas of program evaluation, social/behavioral sciences, statistics, project management, stakeholder communication, and data systems and informatics to engage in program evaluation and other studies to promote public health in maternal, child and adolescent health populations
Present findings through consultation to departmental management and staff, presentations to public health audiences, fact sheets, government reports, and articles in scientific journals
Travel required for local agency site visits, which might be statewide and may include overnight stay(s)
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree is required to meet the minimum qualifications
Doctoral Degree is required to meet the minimum qualifications
Experience in program evaluation, social/behavioral sciences, statistics, project management, stakeholder communication, and data systems and informatics
Ability to present findings through consultation to departmental management and staff, presentations to public health audiences, fact sheets, government reports, and articles in scientific journals
California residency required prior to appointment and must be maintained as a condition of employment
Up to 5% travel required for local agency site visits
Telework eligibility subject to change, consistent with CDPH's Telework Program
Benefits
Educational pay differential equivalent to 2% of their monthly base pay
Educational pay differential equivalent to 3% of their monthly base pay
