Copy editing, formatting, and preparing manuscripts for the AVMA’s two scientific journals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a related field
Previous experience in an office environment
Experience with the AMA Manual of Style
Excellent proofreading, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines
Strong computer skills with commonly used computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
Experience with content management software
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, as needed
Preferred
Association experience and an editorial/writing background is a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
