Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and indexes

Develop and optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability

Monitor database health and performance; identify bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies

Support database deployments, upgrades, migrations, and patching activities

Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure system continuity

Enforce data integrity, security controls, and access management aligned with best practices

Collaborate with application teams to support integration, troubleshooting, and data modeling

Automate routine database operations and monitoring tasks where possible

Create and maintain technical documentation for database configurations, processes, and runbooks
