Administration, Communications, and Accounting Support
Focusing Philanthropy is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with the Gilson Family Office and Wolverton Capital to achieve shared investment and philanthropic goals. The role involves bookkeeping, financial management, and providing administrative support across these entities, focusing on bank account management, financial reporting, and investor interactions.

Responsibilities
Bank account management, wire transfers, and other interaction with banks and investment managers, accounts payable, tax preparation support, and special projects
Financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis, management of treasury accounts, bank portal data entry, accounts payable, annual audit preparation, related correspondence and funds management, coordinating mail and email mass mailings, providing support to the fundraising team, the year-end Kristof initiative, and gift processing
Back office financial management functions including financial statement review and reconciliation for project entities, investor interactions related to documentation of investments and queries regarding project and account status, interaction with third-party accounting staff to maintain accurate investor capital account records, management of capital calls and distribution notices, maintenance of investor records, distribution of capital account statements and K-1 reports, W9 maintenance, and support with year-end tax preparation
Qualification
Required
BA in accounting or finance (or substantial experience yielding equivalent expertise)
Experience with accounting, audits, and control procedures
Multiple years of work experience in the financial services industry, i.e., wealth management, investment advisory, and family office is helpful
General knowledge of QuickBooks
Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel)
