Responsibilities
Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
Having the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and situations
Making incremental process adjustments, monitoring and reporting quality of manufactured product
Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies
Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to set up new jobs
Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area
Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager
Helping other departments as needed
Qualification
Required

Previous experience in packing/warehousing is extremely helpful
Having a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks
Willingness to work outside of regular shift hours including weekends if production or customer demands require it
Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed and quality-focused
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
Ability to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time
Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
