Responsibilities
Works from detailed programming specifications, designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software-programming applications
Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems
Provides resolution to a fundamental problem or seizes an opportunity that improves the satisfaction of a customer, user or provider
Explains the financial impact of a solution or a decision to assist customers in complying with budget requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a technical or business discipline is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, and understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Familiarity with the stages of software development, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Basic understanding of software testing processes, including test case review, analysis, and participation in test witnessing and certification
Ability to identify and resolve basic software issues or bugs
Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment
Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
Creativity, Customer Focus, Functional/Technical Skills, Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Technical Learning, Integrity and Trust, Priority Setting
The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel and crouch
Operate computer on a continual basis and communicate with various levels of the organization
