Responsibilities
Designing and supporting process systems used in manufacturing and production environments
Developing process flow diagrams and detailed P&IDs that support system design and execution
Performing core chemical engineering calculations including heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, pressure drop, and energy balances
Selecting, sizing, and specifying process equipment, utilities, and supporting systems
Creating layouts, schematics, and installation documentation to support implementation
Supporting procurement activities by preparing technical requirements and evaluating vendor proposals
Analyzing system performance, throughput, timing, and utility usage to support efficient operation
Collaborating cross-functionally with controls, mechanical, and project engineering teams
Supporting system installation, commissioning, and startup activities
Providing technical support throughout the lifecycle of deployed systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
Five or more years of experience in chemical or process engineering
Strong foundation in chemical engineering fundamentals including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer
Experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, and performing process calculations
Comfort working in manufacturing or process-driven environments
AutoCAD experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers
Preferred
Experience in food, beverage, or related process manufacturing is a plus
Exposure to PLC or HMI systems is a plus
