GPU Design Engineer – Memory Hierarchy
Apple is seeking a GPU Design Engineer to join their Silicon Technologies group, focusing on the design and manufacture of high-performance processors. Responsibilities
Participate in micro-architecture specification and RTL coding
Explore architecture trade-offs in performance, area and power consumption
Collaborate with verification team for functional simulation and debug
Qualification
Required
Experience and knowledge of CPU or GPU architecture
Experience in one of the following areas: cache, on-chip interconnect network, data compression or GPU pipeline
Experience in timing and power optimization
Proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog and HDL
Minimum of BS degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
Preferred
Knowledge of high performance, low power designs
Experience in debugging performance issues
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python and Ruby
Ability to work well in a team with strong communication skills
