Responsibilities

Design, plan, and implement complex LAN, WAN, and WLAN network systems

Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture

Assess future needs of statewide education networks and Internet services, recommending upgrades or configuration changes as necessary

Monitor and analyze network utilization patterns, including bandwidth and application usage

Evaluate and integrate new network technologies and maintain awareness of evolving protocols, technologies, and applications

Recommend updates or modifications to ensure the network meets anticipated future demands

Provide instruction, mentoring, and technical guidance to team members and clients on network technologies and protocols

Assist with enterprise network implementations, including hardware, software, and component integration

Monitor network performance and execute maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting plans

Maintain and support network hardware, software, and applications

Conduct network component testing and provide user and administrator training

Participate in after-hours maintenance and join the engineering on-call rotation as needed

Required

Current Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/CI-Poly if required for contract compliance

1+ years of experience supporting application personnel

Intermediate problem analysis and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Experience providing technical support in a business or enterprise environment

Hands-on experience with complex networks, network-centric applications, and LAN/WAN connectivity

Knowledge of failover and disaster recovery processes, network and server connectivity troubleshooting, Windows Server 2012, and analytical tools

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or technical certifications (Network +, CCNA, CCNP or other network related)

CompTIA Network+ or higher certifications

Enthusiasm for tackling complex technical challenges and developing creative solutions

Ability to perform high-quality work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Strong planning and prioritization skills to meet or exceed customer expectations

Experience supporting government customers
