Systems Engineer Sr.

Responsibilities
Perform in an accelerated, collaborative, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors
Ensure consistency of requirements and traceability back to customer objectives
Develop the verification details for the requirements to ensure that the system can meet the requirements and support the execution of these verification activities
Support the successful execution of program Interim Design Reviews
Development of systems engineering documentation such as feature description documents, trade studies, Interface Control Documents
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Qualification
Required
Familiarity with SysML/MBSE tools and common modeling approaches
Experience and exposure to one or more Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions at the enterprise / SoS level, including: a) Enterprise-level trade studies and/or enterprise architecture modeling b) Mission-level requirements analysis and definition of top-level interfaces among major system components c) SoS-level Integration, Test and/or Verification of requirements across major interfaces d) Verification/ validation planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies e) Design reviews/ control gates
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance (requires US citizenship)
Preferred
Experience working in an Agile project management
Working knowledge of Model Based Engineering (MBE), DOORs, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody
Systems Modeling software experience (Cameo/MagicDraw/Rhapsody)
Experience applying architecture frameworks (DODAF, ABD, Harmony, etc.)
Experience with process development and deployment
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Experience with mission-level/ enterprise architecture analysis, development, integration, V&V, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of multiple functional complex systems and their interactions to meet mission needs
Experience writing well-defined and testable requirements; Experience deriving requirements from customer specifications
Working knowledge of Agile development and Atlassian tool suite
Experience with aircraft/simulation systems; may include: avionics, sensors, weapons, radar, electronic warfare
Experience with Integration and Test, requirements tracing and developing/executing test procedures
Leadership skills; including coordinating tasking between multiple groups and working with cross-functional teams
Ability to interact with system/ segment developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
