Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, pricing, and procurement of:
Hollow metal doors and frames
Steel, fiberglass, and wood doors and frames
Source materials for commercial and multi-family construction projects nationwide
Ensure compliance with:
ADA requirements
Fire ratings and other applicable certifications
Serve as the subject-matter expert for metal doors, frames, and hardware
Centralize purchasing operations in DFW for all national projects
Develop and implement:
SOPs
Purchasing templates
Job site standards
Procurement workflows and best practices
Train and support Project Managers by:
Teaching job site inspection standards
Identifying common installation and material issues
Ensuring materials arrive correct, complete, and code-compliant
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with manufacturers and distributors
Collaborate closely with operations, project management, and leadership teams
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in commercial doors, frames, and hardware
Hands-on experience with door installation (required)
Strong working knowledge of ADA compliance
Strong working knowledge of fire-rated assemblies
Strong working knowledge of commercial and multi-family construction standards
Door hardware experience is required
Familiarity with major vendors and manufacturers including (but not limited to): Assa Abloy, Allegion, DKS, Mesker
Proven experience in pricing analysis
Proven experience in vendor negotiation
Proven experience in procurement for large-scale construction projects
Ability to create processes where none exist and drive adoption company-wide
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills
