MIT Lincoln Laboratory is researching and developing technology for advanced satellite systems. The SRP Intern will contribute to projects related to advanced capabilities for space systems, working alongside technical staff to develop new system concepts and technologies.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a number of challenging projects related to advanced capabilities for space systems

Be mentored by a technical staff member

Work within a project team to develop new system concepts and technologies

Testing and characterization of electro-optical components for a space payload

Automation of high-speed instrumentation data collection and analysis

Running modeling and simulation tools

Operating optical systems in lab experiments

Development and implementation of data analysis algorithms

Required

Candidates should have a strong academic background and be working toward a BS, MS, or PhD in mathematics, science, engineering, or related disciplines

Candidates should also demonstrate strong communications skills and the ability to work proactively and independently

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance

U.S. citizenship is required
