Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria

The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use

Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies

Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader

Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material

Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job

Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment

Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source

MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies

Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements

Required

1+ year in Quality related position

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Proficiency in English

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Ability to Coordinate, prioritize and multitask

Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment

Ability to take initiative and recognize needs

Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material

Ability lift/move 30 pounds

Must have reliable transportation

Basic knowledge of materials and production processes

Basic knowledge of quality control methods

MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies
