Responsibilities
Analyze large quantities of football data to develop actionable insights for decision-makers
Work with other members of the Football Analytics & Research Department to create and maintain tools and resources for coaches, scouts, and other staff members within the front office
Utilize statistical programming, machine learning, and data visualization skills to complete various projects to help club better understand trends in both professional and college football
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor or graduate program in statistics, data science, mathematics, or other related fields
Basic knowledge and concepts of R, Python, or similar statistical programming languages
Eager to grow a future career in Football Analytics and Research
Ability to maintain high energy and a positive attitude on a team united toward the common goals of championship-level performance
Effective communication skills with all individuals across the organization
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around professional athlete data in their work environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs
Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check
Preferred
Basic knowledge and concepts of SQL preferred
Experience with neural networks or deep learning architectures preferred
