Material Planner and Facility Project Leader
GE Aerospace is a leading company in the aerospace industry, and they are seeking a Material Planner and Facility Project Leader. This role involves purchasing indirect materials and services while leading facility-related projects to ensure they meet production schedules and budget guidelines.

Responsibilities
Support and meet production schedules, and manage the areas within budget guidelines and controls
Encourage and maintain a safe work environment
Schedule, advise, resolve issues, expedite, and track materials and services
Design and implement processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials
Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
Provide direction, leadership, and material support for assigned production area
Administer purchase orders (individual and blanket)
Initiate and process purchase requisitions
Receive and approve invoices
Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
Partner with onsite tool group to enter request for quotes for spot buys, answer questions, provide knowledge-based info and vendor quotes for reference
Facility Project Management
Lead Contractors/Vendors
Proficient in GE’s capital procurement process
Able to develop and submit business cases to the Investment Review Board (IRB), procure and manage capital to budget, and see projects to closure)
Uses judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. Able to utilize multiple sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing experience) + Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience
Preferred
Prior supply chain process and product knowledge
Knowledge of safety regulations
Ability to effectively influence and motivate others
Strong negotiation skills and able to lead by example
Familiarity with materials and equipment that is relevant to the function
Strong propensity for excelling in a demanding environment
Ability to determine the impact of actions on business
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and resolve challenges simultaneously
Lean/Continuous Improvement experience/mindset
Ability to hold others accountable and lead via influence

Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
Experience with spare parts management
