The ideal candidate will guide requirement-gathering workshops, oversee end-to-end configuration, and manage testing, cutover, and integration activities.

Responsibilities
Lead workshops to define and document payroll requirements, ensuring stakeholder alignment
Configure SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or SAP HCM Payroll in alignment with approved design documents and business needs
Oversee all implementation phases — build, parallel payroll runs, SIT, UAT, and cutover — ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
Provide functional expertise in gross-to-net calculations, tax reporting, garnishments, year-end activities, and accrual setups
Manage integrations with SAP FI, Time Management, Benefits, Compensation, and other third-party systems
Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues, apply support packs, and develop custom rules and operations as needed
Maintain payroll catalogs (wage types, off-cycle payroll, levy management)
Communicate proactively with stakeholders, providing clear updates and actionable solutions
Qualification
Required
7+ years of hands-on SAP Payroll configuration experience (ECP or HCM), focused on U.S. Payroll
Proven success leading complex implementations from requirements through post-go-live
Expertise in wage type configuration, off-cycle payroll, garnishments, tax reporter setup, and BSI Tax Factory integration
Experience with 4+ full lifecycle SAP U.S. Payroll implementations
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors, Payroll Control Center (PCC), and automation or process optimization tools
4–5 years of experience executing parallel payroll testing
