Responsibilities
Translate requirements into a system architecture and detailed design
Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine controls
Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors
Validate designs through analysis and testing
Coordinate own design efforts to meet production schedules and provide project task estimates and updates to project team
Qualification
Required
BS in Electrical Engineering
0+ years experience in developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs
Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials
Working knowledge of business software including MS Office suite
Collaborate with others to clarify requirements and develop solutions
Lead design reviews consisting of multi-disciplined and cross functional team members
Preferred
MS in Electrical Engineering
0+ years experience in 480VAC power generation and distribution
0+ years experience in engine/generator controls
0+ years experience in industrial automation and controls systems
0+ years experience in electrical traction systems (DC & AC)
0+ years experience in motor controls and variable speed drives
EIT
Knowledge in Autodesk and ERP software
