Senior Project Manager
Cobalt is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide comprehensive leadership and oversight of project execution from preconstruction through closeout. This role involves managing large-scale projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring that project goals related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget are met.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of assigned construction projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, and delivery
Oversee and mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators, providing direction, feedback, and leadership development
Lead preconstruction coordination including estimates, design reviews, resource planning, and schedule forecasting
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, architects, and engineers, serving as the primary point of contact for all project matters
Monitor project financial performance including budget analysis, cost control, and forecasting within Procore Financials
Negotiate contracts, change orders, and owner pay applications while ensuring compliance with Cobalt policies and standards
Coordinate with field leadership to ensure alignment between office and site operations
Implement risk-management strategies and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Review project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes for accuracy and timeliness
Lead project closeout including financial reconciliation, lessons learned, and client turnover
Represent Cobalt’s culture of leadership, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in construction project management with a proven track record managing complex or large-scale projects
Demonstrated experience leading project teams and mentoring other managers or coordinators
Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, cost control, and risk management
Proficiency in Procore (including Financials), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Strong negotiation and client-relation abilities
OSHA 30 certification required within 180 days of hire
Preferred
Additional certifications such as CPR/First Aid or PMP preferred
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred
