Responsibilities
Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department
Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and bank runs
Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
Perform daily data entry of financial transactions in QuickBooks
Assist and support company personnel with accounting-related inquiries
Research documentation issues, discrepancies, and delinquencies; inform management and assist with resolution
Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
Maintain up-to-date job knowledge and best practices
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 2 years, proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, with knowledge of Accounts Payable
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Aptitude for numbers and data analysis
Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
Strong data entry and word processing skills
Well-organized with good time-management skills
High school diploma required
Preferred
Associate degree or bookkeeping certification
Notary Public designation
