Responsibilities
Test programs or databases, correct errors, and implement necessary modifications
Modify existing databases and database management systems or guide programmers and analysts in making changes
Write and code logical and physical database designs and specify database identifiers for management systems
Collaborate as part of a project team to coordinate database development and define project scope and limitations
Review project requests outlining database user needs to estimate time and cost requirements
Interpret customer data requests and determine optimal technical solutions
Design, document, build, and test Snowflake data models to support business requirements
Develop Power BI reports, potentially supplemented by Power Apps to enhance data flows
Communicate database changes, usage guidelines, and insights to customers and other data consumers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field with an emphasis on digital systems and data
5-7 years of relevant professional experience
SQL development in Snowflake
Python development for ETL pipelines
Power BI for front-end reporting and data visualization
Business requirements gathering and translation into technical solutions
Adherence to established coding standards (formats, naming conventions, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Procurement or Supply Chain processes and products
Presentation skills to deliver end products to stakeholders
High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred
SAS experience (plus)
Mentoring experience, including code standards and peer reviews
