Powertrain Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Represent PTME for all labor discussions for new programs and provide labor glide path documentation
Establish and submit program funding for supplemental IE purchased services
Provide Industrial Engineering support for New Program delivery
Lead Engineered JPH Capacity Strategy for New Programs and Operational updates, per Ford procedure
Support overall manufacturing launch processes and program reporting metrics (GPDS, 10 panel, program reviews, dashboards, GSPAS, etc.)
Responsible for line labor planning to meet program demand (Lead for Machining and Assembly), report labor tracking status including WERS concerns, Q forms, and Off Standard Labor
Establish and implement global common practices for Industrial Engineering within ME including Labor PAT, HPU Target Setting, JPH and HPU Reporting, Workstation assessments
Use [Global Study Process Allocation System] GSPAS to develop APT Structure, Allocations and Time Studies for machining and assembly. Overall Global Industrial Engineering GSPAS leadership
Support the Global IE Standards team to develop and update IE standards including training and quality documents listed below. Lead the supporting processes, documentation and continuous improvement
Interface with Global Capacity Planning for all new program cycle plan capacity planning including assessing the Plant Get Ready Submissions
Document, audit and govern Engineered JPH metrics and database for all powertrain programs and plants globally
Benchmark new programs and current operations. Utilize continuous improvement methods to lower labor costs and increase capacity utilization
Lead PTME labor benchmarking activities and lead interface with business partners (Other Global Industrial Engineering groups and Operations)

Qualification
Required
Engineering degree (Master's preferred)
Strong manufacturing engineering experience, minimum 10 years in managing teams on major projects
Understanding/experience of overall automotive processes (powertrain preferred) and manufacturing business acumen
Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing Planning and Cost Study process to lead programs from concept through to implementation
Ability to think strategically and work with peer organizations within Ford to support Blue and Model e strategic plans
Knowledge and practical experience with automotive manufacturing, engineering, production, and planning
Flexible work locations (travel as required on frequent basis), depending on business needs
Relationship / Work Experience with cross functional teams
