Senior LevelSquadron Data, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and build black-box accelerators and automation frameworks for migrating and modernizing data workflows into Snowflake-native architectures. Responsibilities
Design and build Python-based agentic frameworks that migrate legacy data engineering workflows and data warehousing workloads into Snowflake, incorporating Snowflake Cortex for reasoning, transformation, and automation tasks
Develop reusable migration accelerators that parse existing workflows, SQL, schemas, and metadata and generate Snowflake-ready outputs (dbt projects, SQL, and supporting assets), including analysis and validation steps
Apply Cortex and LLM-driven techniques where appropriate to interpret, refactor, and validate complex data transformations while maintaining deterministic, repeatable outputs
Build end-to-end automation pipelines with clear logging, error handling, and repeatable results, deployed and executed within the Snowflake platform
Partner with architects and delivery teams to align accelerators with Snowflake best practices and real-world migration needs
Own the technical design, evolution, and reliability of Cortex-enabled migration tooling used across multiple projects
Qualification
Required
Deep Python engineer with strong LLM reasoning, prompt engineering, and systems design skills
Experience in applying Snowflake Cortex capabilities to create reusable, scalable accelerators
Design and build Python-based agentic frameworks that migrate legacy data engineering workflows and data warehousing workloads into Snowflake
Develop reusable migration accelerators that parse existing workflows, SQL, schemas, and metadata and generate Snowflake-ready outputs
Apply Cortex and LLM-driven techniques to interpret, refactor, and validate complex data transformations
Build end-to-end automation pipelines with clear logging, error handling, and repeatable results
Partner with architects and delivery teams to align accelerators with Snowflake best practices
Own the technical design, evolution, and reliability of Cortex-enabled migration tooling
Preferred
Experience modernizing legacy data engineering or ETL platforms
Experience migrating enterprise data warehouses to cloud platforms
Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex for AI-assisted analytics, transformation, or automation use cases
Familiarity with CI/CD and automated deployment of data assets
Experience working in multi-client or consulting environments
Deep understanding and working knowledge of Snowflake
