Responsibilities
Maintain property and partnership books and records for multiple managed entities
Perform monthly and quarterly close processes and ensure timely reporting
Record and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including mortgage, escrow, insurance, taxes, AR, and AP
Process property-level invoices: review, code, obtain approvals, resolve discrepancies, and enter into the system
Maintain accounting records for corporate and property entities and support consistency in reporting across all entities
Ensure compliance with loan agreements and other regulatory or financial covenants
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and track cash balances across multiple accounts
Support preparation of financial statements, variance reports, and ad-hoc reporting for leadership
Communicate with third-party borrowers, servicers, and asset management teams regarding mortgage loans
Assist with audit preparation and other corporate reporting requirements
Collaborate with internal teams and property managers to ensure accurate financial data
Support Controller and senior management with accounting projects and process improvements
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3–5 years of experience in property accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both
Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a hands-on, detail-oriented, and fast-paced environment
