Director of Copy
Rho Nutrition is a next-generation wellness brand redefining supplementation through clinically informed, high-bioavailability liquid formulations. They are seeking a Director of Copy (Brand + Growth) to own and scale the written voice of the brand across various channels, ensuring that messaging is both persuasive and revenue-driving while maintaining brand integrity.

Responsibilities
Define, evolve, and protect Rho’s brand voice: authoritative, minimalist, scientifically emotive
Establish clear messaging frameworks across customer cohorts (Biohackers, Actives & Movers, Afflicted, Beauty Seekers, Clinical Insiders)
Ensure consistency across DTC, Amazon, retail, influencer, PR, and educational content
Own conversion-focused copy across: Landing pages & PDPs (Shopify + Amazon), Paid social, paid search, advertorials, and affiliates, Email, SMS, and retention flows
Partner closely with Growth and E-Commerce teams to: Improve CVR, AOV, LTV, and retention through messaging, Develop testing frameworks (hooks, claims, angles, headlines, long-form vs short-form)
Translate winning ad concepts into on-site and lifecycle copy
Balance performance urgency with long-term brand equity
Lead copy for product launches and hero campaigns
Develop campaign narratives that ladder from awareness → education → conversion
Ensure every launch has a clear value proposition, belief transfer, and objection-handling strategy
Work with internal and external science partners to convert studies, mechanisms, and protocols into clear, compliant messaging
Translate bioavailability, formulation advantages, and clinical relevance into consumer-first language
Maintain FTC-compliant, structure/function-safe copy standards without diluting persuasion
Manage and mentor internal copywriters and external freelancers/agencies
Build scalable systems for briefs, testing, approvals, and iteration
Act as final approval for all high-impact copy across paid, owned, and earned channels
Collaborate with Creative, Influencer, Retention, PR, Wholesale, and Clinical teams
Support practitioner-facing, wholesale, and education materials when needed
Serve as a strategic partner in brand and growth planning—not just execution
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of professional copywriting experience, with leadership or ownership responsibility
Proven ability to write both: Brand-led narrative copy and Direct-response, growth-driven copy
Deep understanding of what makes copy convert across paid media, PDPs, and lifecycle
Comfortable working with scientific, technical, or clinical inputs
Fluent in FTC-compliant structure/function claims
Highly opinionated about quality, clarity, and restraint
Strategic thinker who is still hands-on and execution-oriented
Preferred
Strong background in supplements, wellness, health, performance, or premium CPG (strongly preferred)
Portfolio or examples of brand + performance copy (health/wellness strongly preferred)
