Fuels Facility SME Technical Support

BB&E Consulting Engineers and Professionals is an employee-owned full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm. They are currently looking for a Fuels Facility SME Technical Support to provide technical support to AFCEC/CO at Tyndall AFB, FL, assisting with technical resolutions, project reviews, and training preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist with the technical resolution of fuel system issues or problems provided by base, installations or MAJCOMs
Provide technical expertise for criteria development and review of engineering documents including UFCs, UFGSs, and AFIs, AFPs and AFHs
Perform project reviews to include building and site work for renovations and new facilities or infrastructure within fuels discipline
Assist with consolidation, tracking and responding to comments received from other organizations
Evaluate commercially available and emerging technologies as alternate solutions to conventional design and construction practices, to include analysis of experimental designs and provide recommendations concerning adoption of these designs and audit the performance of new technologies
Assist in documenting program files, organizing files and providing administrative support, such as updating and maintaining technical support resources such as CE DASH
Assist the Government in preparation and delivery of training and presentations at training programs and courses
Estimated tasks include assisting with resolution of 45-55 fuel system issues annually; accomplishing 10-12 trips for assistance annually, reviewing 25-35 engineering documents annually; accomplishing reviews of 10-20 projects annually; assisting with training materials for three (3) to five (5) training events annually, assisting and documenting responses to 40-60 CE DASH requests annually

Required

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required
Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years' experience in industrial systems
Experience with MS Office Computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrate the ability to assist with the technical resolution of industrial system issues or problems
Demonstrate the ability to provide technical expertise for DoD criteria development and review of engineering documents
Demonstrate the ability to perform project reviews to include building and site work for fuel systems or infrastructure
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences; demonstrated experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and in briefing management personnel
Software: Proficiency using AutoCAD 2022 and Revit 2021, and MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' experience in mechanical, civil or electrical, industrial systems design and engineering
Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs
Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone
