Executive Director
LakewoodAlive is a nonprofit community development corporation dedicated to fostering vibrant neighborhoods. The Executive Director will lead the organization, advancing its mission and enhancing community impact through strategic leadership and effective resource management.

Responsibilities
Serve as the chief spokesperson for the organization
Partner with the board to develop and implement strategic plans
Identify community needs and opportunities for innovation, growth and impact
Inspire a team of eight staff members in executing the organization’s mission
Lead fundraising efforts in conjunction with the Development Manager
Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, funders, and community partners
Ensure the organization’s financial health through sound budgeting, financial planning and reporting, and oversight in partnership with the Board of Directors
Assist with grant applications and track project progress
Oversee daily operations and ensure the organization's mission is fulfilled
Design, launch, and assess community programs – and subprograms - and initiatives including Housing Outreach Program, Small Business Support Program, and large-scale community events
Oversee grant agreements and ensure compliance with all requirements
Hire, manage, develop, and evaluate staff in partnership with the Operations Manager
Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including residents, businesses, government officials, and funders both locally and regionally
Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and press conferences
Work closely with the Board of Directors and volunteer committees to prepare for and execute Board meetings
Provide timely, accurate information to enable effective Board oversight
Assist in building and supporting a diverse and effective Board
Qualification
Required
Ability to work full-time, primarily onsite in the LakewoodAlive office and offsite in the community
Bachelor's degree preferred with at least five years of related non-profit or corporate leadership experience
Capacity to coordinate and oversee numerous projects simultaneously
Well-organized, self-motivated, able to work independently, collaboratively, creatively and proactively
Comfortable operating in a small-organization environment that requires flexibility, innovation, and hands-on involvement
High energy, team player with a passion for LakewoodAlive's mission
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and engage with people from all walks of life
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and QuickBooks
