Responsibilities

Lead the development of hitch diagnostics and tooling to help Apple deliver fluid, responsive user experiences
Own the technical vision and development of tools used for detection, diagnostics generation, and analysis of UI hitches in animations, scrolling, and other interactions across Apple's platforms
Engage with experts across Apple to understand the complexity of Apple’s display rendering architecture and translate that knowledge into impactful performance diagnostics tooling
Choose meaningful features that deliver real impact, balancing technical excellence with practical utility for the teams that depend on your tools

Required

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in Objective-C and Swift
Strong OS & systems fundamentals
Experience with graphics programming and frame rendering pipelines
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Aptitude to independently learn new technologies, prototype, and propose software design solutions
Passion for product quality and attention to detail

Preferred

Prior development experience in Unix, Linux, macOS, or iOS
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with diverse technical teams
Ability to prioritize competing requirements and focus on high-impact features
