Responsibilities
Focus on monitoring and improving student behavior and academic performance
Build and maintain a strong, positive, achievement-oriented school culture
Oversee and support procedures for student conduct, ensuring a safe and respectful environment
Maintain student discipline and document behavioral incidents
Coordinate academic support programs under the direction of the Director
Monitor student arrival, dismissal, and daily attendance
Assist students with academic and social challenges
Collaborate with teachers on classroom management and communication with parents and students
Provide guidance and support to parents regarding student well-being and performance
Review grade data and collaborate with the Director on academic interventions
Supervise Teaching Fellows assigned to specific grades
Work with the Head of School and ESS Coordinator to develop a Student Support Team (SST) process
Actively manage Early Bird and Late Bird programs, including parent communication and structure
Evaluate and support teachers in classroom management and parent relations
Chaperone school events, including dances
Coordinate student support programs such as Homework Buddy and Peer Tutoring
Participate in faculty and staff meetings
Check with school administration for additional duties as needed
Organize and review assessment results, including new student evaluations, standardized testing, and BASIS-specific programs
Coordinate planning and preparation for new student orientation
Assist with the planning and execution of academic schedules and standardized assessments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years in a school setting, ideally in a charter or independent school
All employees are required to obtain and maintain valid fingerprint clearance
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
