They are seeking a Structural Designer SR 2 with extensive experience in heavy industrial and power plant design to produce 3D models and design drawings, review vendor fabrication drawings, and coordinate work with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

Producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork, preparing layouts and conceptual designs
Reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings is a plus, preparing material take-offs and assist with cost estimates
Coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, and performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability

AutoCAD3D modellingSteel detailingAdvance SteelTechnical writingTeam collaborationRelationship building

Required

20+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience
Proficient using AutoCAD
Good Technical writing skills
Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and/or vendors
High School Diploma

Preferred

Extensive 3D modelling and drawing creation experience
Experience with Advance Steel
Steel and concrete detailing background
