Avantor is a global company providing advanced laboratory services to various industries. They are seeking an Onsite Associate for Lab Services who will perform lab maintenance, inventory management, and customer support tasks to ensure efficient laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

Clean lab benches and fume hoods following SOPs and using proper cleaning equipment

Dispose of biowaste safely and efficiently

Autoclave materials as needed

Perform daily inventory tasks, including receiving packages and placing items in designated locations

Manage gas cylinders: receive, store, replace, and report usage to the customer

Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment

Handle inbound shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and resolve shipping errors

Monitor slow-moving and dead stock; conduct cycle counts and annual inventories

Communicate with scientists regarding received materials and respond to requests

Maintain Excel spreadsheets for inventory tracking and reporting

Replenish snacks and clean breakroom areas

Greet and sign in/out guests

Provide professional customer service, follow-up, and follow-through on tasks

Assist with shipping coordination, including hazardous materials documentation and packaging

Maintain safety stations and equipment inspections

Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling procedures

Required

High school diploma or GED required

2 -4 years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service

Strong communication and organizational skills

Experience with Excel and inventory systems

Ability to problem-solve and pay close attention to detail

Professional demeanor and customer service mindset

Willingness to assist across departments and adapt to changing needs

Preferred

Microsoft Teams experience preferred
