Accounting Intern (unpaid)
Animal Friends is seeking a highly motivated and organized Accounting student to support their growing accounting needs. The intern will assist with various accounting tasks including inputting income, processing bills, and preparing for the annual audit.

Responsibilities
Assist with the input of income
Assist with the input and payment of bills
Assist with the entering of month-end journal entries and the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
Assist with assessing and validating the accuracy of data captured in QuickBooks during the monthly closing process
Assist with running month-end budget variance reports
Assist with the preparation and analysis of the schedules required for the annual audit
Perform other duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent, demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office
Outstanding analytical skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Must be organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team, capable of building strong internal and external working relationships
Working toward Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar field
Successful completion of at least two three-credit accounting classes
Must be able to pass all pre-employment clearances, professional reference checks, and assessments
Must be comfortable working with or around dogs, cats, and rabbits
