Responsibilities

Lead planning, production, and post-production of audio and video content, including complex and multi-location productions
Translate complex scientific and technical topics into clear, engaging multimedia content for diverse audiences
Coordinate development, review, and approval of scripts, rough cuts, and final products with client directorates, researchers, and external partners
Support partnerships, collaborations, and special projects, including coordination of deliverables, distribution planning, and distribution tracking
Develop or support related web content, articles, and photography for the client’s digital platforms
Coordinate with collaborators to obtain, manage, and archive all raw footage and completed production assets
Serve as the on-site production manager in coordination with the client’s multimedia team leader, assigning and tracking production tasks, monitoring schedules and deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness
Maintain liaison among government staff, scientists, and production partners throughout all phases of production
Perform operator-level maintenance of production and post-production equipment and manage file maintenance, media organization, and electronic archiving systems
Provide studio management, scheduling, and logistical coordination to maintain orderly and efficient production workflows
Travel as required to support on-location production activities

Required

US Citizen (the nature of our contract requires employees be US citizens)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a video and multimedia project producer
Experience managing and guiding video teams of three or more staff or contractors across projects of varying scope and complexity
Demonstrated ability to translate complex or technical topics into compelling multimedia content for broad audiences
Experience developing and executing strategic distribution and marketing plans for broadcast and web-based media
Strong production management, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred

Preferred experience includes conducting and editing interviews, on-camera work, scriptwriting across multiple styles, and creative problem-solving
