Responsibilities
Perform systems engineering duties in architecting, designing, integrating and testing aircraft and weapons systems
Conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of computer software and hardware to aircraft and ground station design and manufacture
Recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques
Performs the role of System Architect
Coordinates technical input from NAVAIR subject matter experts to form technical recommendations to program engineering and program management
Responsible for overseeing the efforts of less senior staff assigned to a specific job/project
Ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts and lead problem resolution efforts
Interfaces with system or program Contractors, vendors and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of programs/projects
Qualification
Required
Active DoD Secret Clearance, required
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in related discipline
At least ten (10) years of experience in the Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD systems or DoD support systems, consisting of the design, development, integration and system testing of computer hardware, computer software, and navigation, sensor and communication subsystems
Versatile, willing to Mentor younger engineers, strong communications skills, well-versed and experience in UAS
Preferred
Preferably TS/SCI
