Director of Operations
Found Rental Co. is a premier luxury event furnishing rental company, seeking a Director of Operations to lead and standardize operational strategies across multiple locations. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, quality, safety, and inventory integrity while embodying the company's core values.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce Found’s Operational Standards for warehouse management, logistics flow, and inventory handling across all existing and future locations
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and asset utilization. Regularly audit locations to ensure adherence to Found’s Operational Standards
Work with the Chief Operating Officer to develop operational models that are scalable and repeatable to support Found’s multi-market expansion, optimizing facility layouts and resource allocation for future growth
Partner with the accounting team to manage operational budgets, control labor costs, and optimize fleet and facility maintenance spending across the organization
Own short, mid, and long-term operational planning across all Found locations to support seasonal demand, peak event volume, and long-term growth
Partner with Sales, Fabrication, and Leadership to convert revenue forecasts into scalable operational plans and resource models
Lead annual, quarterly, and peak-season planning cycles, ensuring labor, inventory, fleet, facilities, and logistics capacity are aligned with forecasted demand
Provide oversight for all fleet operations (routing, maintenance, acquisitions), ensuring optimal scheduling, efficiency, compliance, and driver safety across all markets
Develop and manage key vendor relationships (transportation, materials, maintenance) to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for all operational needs
Strategically optimize the end-to-end logistics from the warehouse floor to the event site, focusing on reducing turnaround times, quality control, handling of the inventory, and improving load/offload efficiency
Directly manage and mentor the Operations Managers in each market. Provide them with the tools and strategic direction to execute Found;s Operational Standards effectively and develop their own teams
Design and approve organizational structure for location operations teams, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet demand
Ensure strict adherence to all local, state and federal safety and labor laws
Oversee the strategy for training and certification programs for all operational roles (e.g. forklift cherry picker, driving, etc.), ensuring a consistent, high-level skillset across the organization
Translate strategic plans into clear execution roadmaps for each market with defined milestones, ownership, and KPIs
Hold Managers accountable to readiness, performance standards, and planning commitments. Continuously assess performance against plan and adjust resourcing and operational strategy as needed
Qualification
Required
8+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-location operations, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally within the events or specialty rental sector
Proven experience implementing and maximizing the use of Inventory Management Systems
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and unify geographically dispersed management teams
Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-site budgets and leveraging operational data to drive strategic decisions
