Responsibilities
Assist underwriters in evaluating property insurance applications, including gathering and analyzing relevant data
Conduct research on various properties and assess potential risks associated with insuring them
Assist in the preparation of underwriting reports and recommendations
Collaborate with other team members to review policy documents and ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines
Participate in underwriting meetings and discussions to gain insight into the decision-making process
Provide support in handling inquiries from clients, brokers, and other stakeholders
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the underwriting team
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in insurance, risk management, finance, or a related field
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Preferred
Prior internship or work experience in insurance, underwriting, or related fields is a plus but not required
